Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil {Giveaway Closed}

Filed Under: Giveaway, Product Review, Recipe Roundup

By Kelly M 185 Comments Jump to Recipe

Good news! Your Monday just got 117% better. You can make a vat of Tropical Traditions coconut oil come your way for FREE.

I like free swag, don’t you? Of course you do. You’re human.

Not only is this any swag, but we’re talking a giant stash of the best coconut oil around. Tropical Traditions is a family-run company that uses strictly the highest quality ingredients in their products.

Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil - 32 oz.

“Win 1 quart of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil!

Tropical Traditions is America’s source for coconut oil. Their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is hand crafted in small batches by family producers, and it is the highest quality coconut oil they offer. You can read more about how virgin coconut oil is different from other coconut oils on their website: What is Virgin Coconut Oil?

You can also watch the video they produced about Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil:

Tropical Traditions also carries other varieties of affordable high quality coconut oil. Visit their website to check on current sales, to learn about the many uses of coconut oil, and to read about all the advantages of buying coconut oil online. Since the FDA does not want us to discuss the health benefits of coconut oil on a page where it is being sold or given away, here is the best website to read about the health benefits of coconut oil.”

One very lucky Foodie Fiasco reader (I’m talking to you!) will win a 1 Quart (32 FL oz.) glass jar of Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, which has a retail value of $50.00!

Here are some of my favorite recipe in which you can use coconut oil (sub in coconut oil for applesauce in most of these recipes unless noted otherwise).

Homemade Healthy Samoas (Vegan, Gluten/Grain Free, Low Carb, Paleo)

World’s Healthiest Chocolate Chip Cookies (Use coconut oil instead of applesauce. Vegan, Gluten/Grain Free, Low Carb, Paleo)

Amazing Low Carb Brownies (Use coconut oil instead of applesauce. Vegan, Gluten/Grain Free, Low Carb, Paleo)

Homemade Healthy Crescent Rolls (Use coconut oil instead of applesauce. Vegan, Gluten/Grain Free, Low Carb, Paleo)

Homemade Healthy Tagalongs (Use coconut oil instead of applesauce. Vegan, Gluten/Grain Free, Low Carb, Paleo)

Homemade Healthy Tagalongs- Better than the original, and only 25 calories each!

To enter this giveaway:

1. Leave a comment on this blog post saying how you like to use coconut oil. I love using it in cookies (I have a thing for cookies), but the wonders of coconut know no bounds. What do you think?

2. Subscribe to the Tropical Traditions newsletter.

For one additional entry each (please leave a comment for each action you do):

1. Like Foodie Fiasco on Facebook.

2. Like Tropical Traditions on Facebook.

3. Follow Foodie Fiasco on Twitter and tweet:

“Happy Beginning of the Week! I love @troptraditions and I’m entering to win some coconut oil @foodiefiasco http://ow.ly/j7V9n”

4. Follow Tropical Traditions on Twitter.

5. Follow Foodie Fiasco on Pinterest and pin one of my recipes.

This giveaway is open to residents of the US and Canada, and will be open until March 31, 2013. Thank you very much for participating, my friends, and good luck!

*Update: The winner is Tami Lewis! (Comment #140) Thanks for coming to the party, my friends.

Disclaimer: Tropical Traditions provided me with a free sample. As always, my opinions are completely my own. If you order by clicking on any of my links and have never ordered from Tropical Traditions in the past, you will receive a free book on Virgin Coconut Oil, and I will receive a discount coupon for referring you.

I have used coconut oil only twice before with my roommate. She recommends using it in her stir-fry most of the time. I am hoping that I figure out working with it in baking so I can make myself a birthday came with it soon!

I stir a spoon full into my oatmeal every morning, saute veggies in it, put it on my hands to moisturize, put in on my son's very dry, but acne prone forehead. Also use it to "Oil pull" most mornings. Love Tropical Traditions products!!

I love using coconut oil in baking! In two months, I'm participating in a Relay for Life event for the American Cancer Society, and I am needed to fundraise like crazy. As part of meetig our individual and collective fundraising goals, my team will be presenting various opportunities to gather donations at our booth during the event, and for one of my contributions I'm baking and selling my absolute favorite (healthy!) graham cracker cookie recipe that calls for coconut oil. It's the perfect time to educate people about healthy coconut fats, am I right? Plus, I love cutting the cookies into heart shapes! The thing is, my budget is super tight—not something coconut oil favors very much. The coconut oil from the giveaway would be a massive help! Plus, any money that would've been used buying coconut oil could instead become a direct donation towards my team's fundraising. Not such a bad trade-off, huh?
