My Recipe/Photo Policy

Thanks for dropping by this page! I’m not going to go into too much technical blah, blah, blah, but I do think it is important for me to state some basic information about my recipes and photos.

My Recipe Policy

Yes, I do mostly develop my own recipes. Once in a blue moon, though, I will make someone else’s recipe exactly, and in which case I will give credit where credit is due. And when I also base one of my recipes on some else’s recipe or idea, I will also say so. (i.e. adapted from or inspired by xyz, etc.) I am very picky about the recipes I post on the blog though, because if you take your valuable time to read what I write, the least I can do for you is give you a great recipe.

Rarely when I make a recipe, espescially in baking, will I post it the first time I make it (except of course when I post about “experiments” or flops.) When I develop a recipe, I want it to be right. So if it takes a few (like 12) trials to get it right, then so be it. You guys deserve the best.

During my recipe trials, I often enlist one or a few tastetester(s). If you ever want to come taste test something and you live or will be in the Los Angeles area in the near-ish future, just shoot me an email. I would love to meet you!

I would be flattered if you want to post about one of my recipes on your own blog, just make sure you slip in my name and/or my blog’s name and ideally a link. You guys are really kind and smart people and I know you wouldn’t try to take credit on purpose, but I just want to write down the policy anyway. You can never be too safe, right?

My Photo Policy

Look, I’m not Ashley. I know.

My photos might not be winning any awards anytime soon, but you can usually tell what I’m trying to take a picture of, and until I take some photography classes, functional photos can do the job right? The point is that my photos are functional, but I do plan on bettering my photo skills, thorugh trial and error (emphasis on the latter,) and hopefully some classes. I want this blog to always be the best it can be, so you all, the amazing readers, can get the most you can out of it. I do like to think that the quality of my photos is gradually improving…
